Mere Point Sunset ~ Series of 5

I think this series illustrates the watercolor wash feeling I love in photography. Here, I have tried to blur the lines and create paintings with a shallow depth and silhouetting.

Mere Point Sunset #5 Series of 5

This was one of our last glorious sunsets and I doubt we will see another before we finish packing and leave for the winter. A heavy wet weather system has firmly asserted itself over our bay. The view beyond is gray fog through rain spattered windows.

  1. Hello Carol:
As always we are so very taken with your wonderful photography and here, in this series of sunset images, one can so easily feel the intensity of the heat of a day drawing to a close. Strangely, the teasel type plants in the foreground convey, against that vivid background, something of Africa. So effective.

Thank you so much for your comment on our recent post which, for unknown reasons, strayed onto the previous one. We have replied to it but to see it now it is necessary for you to click on 'Load More' just below the empty comment box.

    1. Hello Jane and Lance ~ I really do appreciate your kind words more than I can say!

Would you believe it was actually a cool evening in Maine. The plants you see are the dried seeds from Black Eyed Susans along the shore that have already lost their petals.
