JCB

October 16th, 2010. JCB and her gentleman were married at Carlyle House, Alexandria, Virginia. It was a perfect day for a wedding and it would have been her grandfather's 100th birthday.

  1. Huzzah! And I see that they had a gorgeous day for it, Mom of the Bride. And the bouquet shows Janet's ever pitch-perfect taste.

Are you back? I've been driving around for a week with a magazine to return to you.

  2. Hello Dilettante! It was a glorious day and I've never seen two such happy people! We just got home today...tired and grubby after closing the cottage on our way back from Virgina. Looking forward to filling you in on all the details!

  6. So glad the weather was a gracious guest. I knew everything else would be perfect. Great happiness and joy to all.

ps I do believe in the the symbolic. How special to be wed on the 100th birthday of her grandfather. And just between us: it appears that house may carry great harbingers for birthin' babies. Just saying!

  9. Very beautifully done, tellingly exact in its restraint. The clasp of the bouquet in the gown and the garden is magnificent.
