- Thoughts and images of Maine and beyond. I have lived in Iran, Bahrain, Hong Kong and England and I loved all of those places, but for me, Maine has been a constant... I feel most at home on this rocky shore and I became a full time resident in 1993. Winter's bitter cold and dark days were an adjustment, but I now view this season as a time of peace and creativity. This is primarily a photo blog of the things I love... the back roads, small towns, gorgeous shoreline and blissful days spent on the water, with a bit of every day minutiae thrown in just for fun. It is meant to be a companion to Flickr, a global community of photographers and a place where over nine thousand of my photos have found a home. Hello Rain! Our driveway wasn't icy when the photos were taken, but it is a nightmare and virtual skating rink now! Winter had to come...things were going along too well! you stay warm too and in one piece!
