About Me

My photo
smilla4blogs
Thoughts and images of Maine and beyond. I have lived in Iran, Bahrain, Hong Kong and England and I loved all of those places, but for me, Maine has been a constant... I feel most at home on this rocky shore and I became a full time resident in 1993. Winter's bitter cold and dark days were an adjustment, but I now view this season as a time of peace and creativity. This is primarily a photo blog of the things I love... the back roads, small towns, gorgeous shoreline and blissful days spent on the water, with a bit of every day minutiae thrown in just for fun. It is meant to be a companion to Flickr, a global community of photographers and a place where over nine thousand of my photos have found a home. Here, I want to combine my photo stream with a narrative for a more interactive experience and to give some additional information on the images. I hope you will take a moment to visit. All photos are my own, unless otherwise noted.
